Black Tea

Black tea (红茶 hóngchá), technically called red tea in Chinese, is tea that has been intentionally oxidised during the processing, turning the leaves dark brown and red. The flavours are often fruity or like rich chocolate, with intensified body and fragrance. The tea liquor will brew a light orange or red, all the way to dark brown depending on the strength. Chinese black tea is often quite different to Western-style black teas, and is typically more soft, sweet, and fragrant.
