Ripe Pu-erh Tea
Ripe pu-erh tea (熟普洱茶 Shú Pǔ Ěr Chá) is made by wet-pile fermentation of raw pu-erh tea, turning the tea very dark, rich, and smooth in an accelerated ageing process. Ripe pu-erh is usually free from bitterness and astringency, brewing an opaque, dark brown or red coloured liquid. The flavour and fragrance is often earthy, woody, or chocolate-like. Our collection of ripe pu-erh tea cakes are produced in-house.
