2025 'Electroflowercandy' White Tea

The return of a simple classic, 'Electroflowercandy' is a Yunnan white tea or baicha (白茶 bái chá) that's made of large-leaf spring tea material from a grove of lush forest, picked and dried directly in the sun.

This pressing of 'Electroflowercandy’ has a lot to offer. When brewed, this tea has a sweet floral fragrance and honeysuckle flavour with plenty of thick mouthfeel. This is a baicha that'll steep for nearly forever, and it can be brewed to your preference. Brewed on the lighter side, you can expect a soft and sugary sweetness like frolicking in a sunlit meadow full of spring flowers. Brewed a touch stronger, and you'll draw out richer flavours and juicier sweetness.

Compared to our other Yunnan baichas such as 2022 'Ghost' White Tea, this white tea has a brighter floral fragrance and lighter candy-like sweetness as a result of less oxidation during its sun-drying process. If you're a fan of white tea and seemingly endless afternoons, grab a cake, press play, sit back and repeat.

  • Use boiling water (100C).

We recommend using approx 1g of tea per 15ml of water for gongfu-style brewing in a teapot or gaiwan. Rinse the leaves once and then brew as usual. You can re-steep the leaves several times until there's no flavour left.

For Western-style brewing in a larger teapot, use approx 5g tea per 100ml of water. You can re-brew the leaves a few times.

To brew direct in a mug, use 1-2g of tea in the bottom of the cup, fill to top with boiling water, and drink once cool. Re-fill the cup with more water when you've drunk 1/3rd of the tea. Repeat until there's no more flavour left.

  • All of our teas are suitable for long-term storage and ageing.

Keep your tea away from sunlight and strong smells, and somewhere with stable climate conditions.

You can keep it sealed inside the re-usable bag the tea comes in, or another non-porous container.
