2021 'Prismo' Raw Puerh Tea

As one of our higher-end raw puerh teas, 'Prismo' is a distillation of our explorations and learnings in the world of Yunnan tea thus far.

Southern Yunnan has some of the most unique and interesting tea growing environments you can find, and the material selected for this blend comes from diverse, vibrant areas of forest that really hammer home how lucky we are to be able to drink the leaves grown and harvested there.

This tea is highly fragrant, thick and rich in the mouth, and has a lot of silky texture along with long-lasting flavour and sweetness. Very dynamic tea from steep to steep, this tea will match your endurance across a languorous brewing session. To get the most out of this tea, we'd suggest setting aside a generous amount of time for a gongfu session, and at the end, throw the leaves in a thermos of boiling water for 12 hours of continuous immersion for a final blast of juice. It's over when you say it's over.

Overall, a great tea to explore what the old-growth tea trees of Yunnan are all about.

And if it wasn't glaringly obvious already, as with all of our productions, we made this tea selfishly for our own tastes and enjoyment; we hope you enjoy it too.

  • Use boiling water (100C).

We recommend using approx 1g of tea per 15ml of water for gongfu-style brewing in a teapot or gaiwan. Rinse the leaves once and then brew as usual. You can re-steep the leaves several times until there's no flavour left.

For Western-style brewing in a larger teapot, use approx 5g tea per 100ml of water. You can re-brew the leaves a few times.

To brew direct in a mug, use 1-2g of tea in the bottom of the cup, fill to top with boiling water, and drink once cool. Re-fill the cup with more water when you've drunk 1/3rd of the tea. Repeat until there's no more flavour left.

  • All of our teas are suitable for long-term storage and ageing.

Keep your tea away from sunlight and strong smells, and somewhere with stable climate conditions.

You can keep it sealed inside the re-usable bag the tea comes in, or another non-porous container.
