Handmade Faceted Teacup by Minna Graham – Stone

These small and round stoneware teacups are handmade by Minna Graham in her Daylesford studio. These burnished iron black teacups have a short and wide profile with hand carved honeycomb-esque faceting along the base.

The teacup's iron black exterior glaze has a semi-metallic sheen that highlights each cup's unique hand carved facets. Under bright lighting, the teacup's outer glaze has a frost-like silvery patina akin to the waxy coating of gum nuts. To contrast, the teacup's interior features a vibrant seaweed green rim that drips into a muted limestone grey-green. Each teacup has unique flashing and tonal variance throughout as a result of being fired in a gas kiln.

The wide shape of these cups make them helpful for smelling and appreciating a tea's fragrance, and allow tea to cool down to drinking temperature efficiently.

Each cup can hold approximately 60ml of brewed tea.

Please note: Each purchase is for a single teacup.
