Hand-hammered Pewter Tea Cup Saucer

These silver-toned pewter saucers are completely handmade and have a beautiful hammered finish that refracts light.

Each saucer made by hand from pewter, giving each saucer its own unique textural character and patina. Pewter is an alloy of tin, copper, and antimony and is somewhat soft and malleable, meaning the cups make a pleasing, gentle sound when placed onto the saucers (which might sound pedantic but trust us - it's important). Over the years, you can expect these saucers to develop a patina that reflects your usage of them.

The saucers are rectangular with rounded corners that curve upwards to gently encase a teacup and any spilt tea within. Owing to their dimpled surface, these saucers give off a subtle gleam on nearby objects when placed near a strong light source. Combined with their warm silvery tone, these saucers are a perfect match for our Dehua porcelain tea cups

Please note: Each purchase is for a single saucer.
