Handmade Flared Teacups by Minna Graham — Ash

These beautifully blushed, ash glazed ceramic teacups are handmade by Minna Graham in her Daylesford studio. The multi-tonal ash glaze has been applied thickly over the teacup's exterior surface creating a uniquely molten drip-like pattern over the cork coloured base. Each teacup's interior wall features an even layer of the same ash glaze but with small pool of crackled ice blue glaze sitting at the bottom.

When placed under bright lights, you can see a subtle sparkle throughout the teacup's glaze as well as unique textural qualities including surface level cracking, bubbling, and dimpling that will stain and patina over time from tea. The glaze exhibits unique blushing, speckling, and reduction effects as a result of having been fired in a gas kiln. 

The teacups have a flared profile and sit atop a triangular base with three hand carved facets ornamenting the outer wall at the base. They have a circular mouth and a curved lip that makes them a pleasure to drink tea from.
