Icy Blue Fairness Cup by Minna Graham

This spouted pitcher or fairness cup (公道杯 gōngdào bēi) comes in an icy blue glaze and has a glossy finish. Each pitcher features unique raspberry jam blushing on the outer wall, reminiscent of red resin against ghost gum tree bark.

The inner and outer walls of this pitcher share the same icy blue glaze with prominent veining and superficial cracking running through their glass-like glaze — a result of vitrification during Minna Graham’s firing process. The outer wall around the base of the pitcher has been left unglazed, allowing the natural colour and texture of the unglazed clay to come through.

The pitcher has a subtly flared profile that rises from a pentagonal base. The pitcher spout is perpendicular to the body and sits at a slightly downturned angle to aid in smooth pouring. Each pitcher features Minna Graham’s signature artist stamp on the outer wall toward the base.

These pitchers have an average capacity of 140ml or 160ml if filled to edge of the spout.
