Handmade Ceramic Teaware Set by Minna Graham — Rock

This richly textured, handmade ceramic teaware set by Minna Graham includes one teapot, four teacups, and a large sized tea boat. It is a one-of-a-kind showpiece teaware set that draws textural and tonal inspiration from the natural elements.

The teapot has a short and round profile and features an upwardly angled spout and a curved handle that begins at the teapot shoulder and finishes above the teapot base. Its exterior has an iron-black glaze with a satin finish and features hand carved, diagonal striped texturing throughout, giving the impression of a buttery, chocolate cake. The lid has a single hole, and is glazed in a frosted white-grey. The teapot interior is coated with a simple clear food-safe glaze. The spout has an internal nine-hole filter for easy brewing. 

The four teacups compliment the teapot and feature the same exterior dark brown glaze and hand carved buttery texturing. The teacups have a greenish-blue, freshwater-esque interior glaze with plenty of textural inclusions, glaze streaking, and tonal variance as a result of Minna's firing technique - making each cup truly unique. 

The matching tea boat features the same rich chocolate exterior glaze and hand carved faceting along the exterior edge of its lip. This tea boat has a subtle raised profile and sits atop a short foot. It features a generously raised lip that prevents any liquid contents from spilling out. The tea boat's interior glaze mirrors the teacup's greenish-blue freshwater interior, giving a pleasing sense of cohesion to this set's grounded and elemental aesthetic.

Teapot can hold approximately 140ml of liquid. It has a pour speed of approximately 8 seconds.

Each of the four teacups can hold an average of 65ml of liquid or 70ml when filled to the brim.
