This Tieguanyin oolong, sometimes translated as 'Iron Goddess' oolong, comes from Anxi, Fujian province, China, and is both quite heavily oxidised and charcoal roasted.
Rather than the more modern styles that are green, barely oxidised or roasted, this oolong tea yields deep, rich fragrances of caramel, warm spices, and with a subtle backbone of charcoal roastiness. Overall very toasty and comforting, and with a clean, thick flavour that is pleasantly balanced. Very aromatic and enduring. The perfect oolong for a rainy day.
Each purchase is for 25g of loose tea in a resealable bag.
